VIDEO INSIDE.

The summer area opened last wednesday and will be opened until the end of august. After few days of bad weather, we went up to check it out, to see how the park and the glacier were doing ! The only problem was the weather, still very bad.

So we went to les 2 Alpes to discover ( or let's say guess in the fog...) what the resort recently acquired by the Compagnie des Alpes has to offer for the summer 2010.

Here is the video.

Short explanation: We promised to make a video, whatever the weather, the shape, the visibility... We won't make it again. In this short edit: Johan Gaume, Olive Gittler and some tricks from Arthur Longo.

With 2,50m of snow on the glacier, we can say that the snow conditions are excellent. The shapers are already working on kickers, pipes and jib zones...

Two pipes are already shaped. One big really big and a small one not that small, with well shaped transitions. The red kickers and the big air are not really ridable, the beginners' tables are soft and ideal to learn your first rotations or to do some mini-tech-shred.

The jib zone is well furnished, 2 lines go from the top to the bottom of the park, with some boxes and nice rails: flat, down, down-flat-down, down-flat, wall, camping table, big mailbox straight in Z shape. All the jib is to low on the ground, which seems quite dangerous when you slide on the nose and that the tail gets stuck in the snow...

So no real novelty except for the jib. But maybe the crew of les 2 Alpes has some surprises for us ! The snowpack changes early, which is rare for mid-june. We were at les 2 Alpes with Johan Gaume and Olivier Gittler, we met Arthur Longo and we made the foggy video together...
