Description of the Rome Artifact 1985  (by Rome)

Go Shred or Go Home—if the Bones Brigade crew took a time warp to the slopes of Big Bear in 2010, they’d probably all be pushin’ the retina-bursting Artifact ‘85s. The camber profile’s flat mid section gives between-the-feet stability for locking into backlips, while the reverse camber tip and tail make for perfect 5-0s. A Reverse-V glass stringer adds ollie pop while still maximizing the loose, press-happy nature of the reverse camber profile.

Technology/Features

Pop Core Matrix/ lightweight and smooth flexing. StraightBiax Laminate/ 90-degree off-axis glass fibers give a mellow, easy-to-control flex profile. Impact Base/ baseline speed with added durability. Glass Reverse-V Stringer Technology/ the reverse V focuses energy in the center of the tip and tail for more longitudinal pop. Bronze Edges/ catch-free and resistant to cracking. Reverse-Jib Camber/ a flat profile between the feet and 5mm reverse camber from inserts to contact points for locked-on rail tricks and a buttery, easy-to-press feel. Shape: True Twin. Terrain Mapping: Mountain: 5 / Park: 9 / Street: 10 / Transition: 2. Calibrated Flex: Longitudinal: 5 / Torsional: 4. Edge Bevel: Jib (-3° base/-3° side): Extra bevel to minimize hang-ups on rails, ledges and boxes.
