The revolutionary Oakley SwitchLock technology has been used by countless athletes in
order to adapt flawlessly to different conditions and sports. Now, Oakley introduces
Airbrake, the first HDO snow goggles with an interchangeable lens design and so many
lens options that, no matter what the mountain has in mind, the vision stays clear and
conditions are perfect.
The hurdles Oakley had to overcome to design goggles with SwitchLock technology were high.
Oakley SwitchLock stands for an extremely simple and fast lens change as well as pure
performance during the active use of the goggles. As even a slight bend in a lens can cause
distortion, the switching system was made to prevent any stresses that could change the shape of
the lens. The removable lens design also required a complete reinvention of the frame. These
problems were solved with precise architecture and remarkable innovations that finally allow snow
athletes to take advantage of Oakley's breakthrough SwitchLock technology. If the conditions start
to change, the athlete simply releases the lens, snaps in a different one, and is immediately ready
for anything the mountain can throw at him. Airbrake comes with an Iridium and a non-Iridium
lens to guarantee top visibility in both overcast and sunny weather.
